This is a historic property that would be perfect for someone who loves restoration projects. The house was built by David Morey Wass in1840 for his new bride. Mr. Wass owned a sawmill on Indian River just down the road, and built the house using timber from his own land. Some of the floor boards are 18' wide. Original wood trim and moldings, while not all intact, are stored in the house, along with original exterior and interior doors. The kitchen cupboards are original, and could be used with some modifications and updating. The house was never modernized except for the addition of electricity, plumbing and heating.
